A little girl once had a dream…she longed to be a Hairstylist. That little girl was me. Now, 50 years later, I still do what I love and love what I do. Being a salon owner to Hairquarters Studio (Niagara) 1982 and Hairquarters / Harmony Spa (Muskoka) 1982. I am forever grateful for the amazing milestones and for our talented teams that truly symbolize that TEAMWORK DOES MAKE THE DREAM WORK. Some of my most memorable highlights during my career include working behind the scenes at Toronto’s Fashion Week for 5 years. Working alongside some of the best talent was such a privilege and honour that I am forever grateful for this experience. My passion manifests in transforming clients through cuts, colour and style.
With four decades of dedication and passion, I have had the privilege of serving as a hairstylist at the same esteemed establishment, honing my craft and perfecting my skills in the art of hairdressing. Throughout my illustrious career, I have had the pleasure of transforming countless clients' looks, bringing out their unique beauty and confidence through my expertise in perms, cuts, and colours. Since high school Melanie has had a love for hair. With over 20 years in the industry Melanie has dedicated her life to her career in the hair industry. She has taken additional classes in cutting, coloring, styling and men's barbering. She has had the opportunity to work backstage for REDKEN fashion week. Melanie specializes in short men's cuts, men's perms, updos, setting/styling hair and coloring.
My childhood was a bit different than most, some would say it was unique. I spent weekends and after school in the salon watching, learning and educating myself on cuts and colors, learning from some of the best this industry had to offer. My passion grew from the age of 11 when I did my first cut on an actual client and only continued to flourish from there. As an adult I have become a very knowledgeable and wel- rounded stylist, diverse in many aspects of the hair industry, but color, color corrections and specifically blondes is where my true love lies. There is not a blonde that I can’t conquer or a head that I can’t fix. A 4-year-old once asked me what I do all day? My response was I cut and color hair that needs it. She replied back with…you make ugly hair pretty and I’ve lived by that motto for the last 15 years. DO WHAT YOU LOVE!
Tanya is a dedicated and skilled hairstylist who combines expertise with a passion for creativity. With a strong educational background and ongoing commitment to learning, she stays ahead of trends through classes and hair shows. Known for her precision in cutting, styling, and coloring, Tanya ensures her clients feel fresh, confident, and consistently satisfied with their look.
Jamie has been obsessed with hair ever since he could use his hands. He has been doing hair professionally for 17+ years, has owned his own salon & won a Matrix hair color competition. His passion lies in alternative hair, fashion color and blonding services. He is well rounded, and has clients from all over the spectrum. Short hair, curly hair, barbering, he can do it all. He pulls inspiration from anime, rock & roll, and current hair trends. His chair is a safe and inclusive space for everyone. He believes that communication is one of the most important aspects of his career and will make you look and feel fabulous.
With over 10 years of experience as a hairstylist, I specialize in precision haircutting and expert texturizing techniques, creating personalized styles that enhance my clients’ natural beauty. My deep understanding of face shapes and hair types allows me to craft looks that truly complement individual features. Hi, my name's Emma. I'm an upcoming stylist at HairQuarters Studio. I started out as a co-op student in grade 12 and have now been here for 2 years. I specialize in providing excellent customer service, assisting with styling, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and helping ensure a smooth and enjoyable salon experience for every client. Always eager to learn and grow in the industry, I'm excited to be part of a creative team that brings out the beauty in every client.
Lisa joined the team at Hairquarters in 2024 and has 2+ years experience in the hair industry. She has had a love for hair and all things beauty since childhood and finds it very rewarding to help her clients find a moment of self-care and leave feeling beautiful. Lisa is a well-rounded stylist who can help you update your look, whether it’s colour or a fresh cut. Consultations are very important to her, and she will always make you feel listened to while working towards all that is possible with your hair goals. With a previous background in beauty retail, Lisa can also help you find a customized hair care routine to keep your hair looking healthy and beautiful outside the salon as well.
